More Than Chump Change
Have you ever stopped by a convenience store or another business and noticed a tray or display for collecting change? Leftover change is more than chump change. Saving change over time can and will alter your finances. Before 1974 I never seriously considered collecting change until I met a wise man that explained to me the concept of wealth building. One of his wealth building techniques was saving change daily. I listened, but most importantly I started applying his simple method by saving a dollar a day. Over time saving became a habit and the amount I saved would continually grow. Saving once started becomes a mindset. Being consistent is the key. Once you develop the habit of saving you’ll see how quickly your finances will grow. Some of us have what we call a rainy day fund which is monies we put aside for emergencies. Though this concept of continually saving seems miniscule the results it garners can dramatically change your finances. We must learn to save but also refrain from using our money on frivolous things. This simple principle does work. My habit of saving change started years ago and I still save daily. The media, through bombarding consumers with advertisements subliminally encourages us to buy things we don’t need. We must not fall prey to these tactics. If we remain steadfast, save wisely, and continuously the possibilities for wealth building are endless.
First and foremost we must give thanks for whatever it is that we have. Saving only change has allowed me to take my family on vacation, buy new tires, help a sibling with money for college, and do many other things. Leftover change can and will alter your living situation in a positive way. Coupled with the concept of saving is the law of circulation. The principle concept of the law of circulation indicates that for communities and businesses to thrive and grow money, resources, goods, and services must circulate within the community. We must give and receive freely. Giving freely means doing something positive and constructive to make your circle of friends and family and/or your community better. Some of us because of pride or a sense of independence sometimes will not receive freely. If we don’t receive we won’t be able to give. What we receive in life is our blessing coming from what we give. Let’s keep the positivity circulating in our communities.
Consequently, by embracing this wealth-building concept wholeheartedly you will be amazed at how your finances will grow. You will also notice that during the course of your finances growing you will learn the importance of sacrifice and discipline. Both of these are character traits that will help to light your path on the way to wealth building. Time is also a key factor in this process. Don’t rush, always have a plan and stay focused. My wish for all that are reading this is that you will teach your children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other respective family members this method of saving that I guarantee you will lead to other wealth-building concepts. Please give us a thumbs up and a share. Also, subscribe to keep the positive vibes going strong.
