Turn Hate Around In America

It seems like a little over four years ago toxic hate started to re-emerge in America. Hate-filled, racist rhetoric contributed to the rise in racism and hatefulness here in this country. Black people have been vilified and brutalized in this country for decades while it seems like our Asian sisters and brothers have suffered in silence. Now hate-filled rhetoric has made its way into the Asian community via vile, racist-laden comments connecting them to the coronavirus. It would behoove all minorities in this country to mobilize, unite and organize in this fight against the evil of overt racism. We should not be punished or terrorized because of our race, color, creed, gender, or ancestry.

Let all of America know we are united in the fight. In the words of Benjamin Franklin, “Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are”. Let us stand in solidarity. Put the word out that we will not tolerate the hate. We will continue to let our voices be heard and will exercise our rights and express our thoughts via actions at the ballot box.
