Violence in America has become widespread and now it is happening on our highways and byways as well. I am not sure about you, but I have been targeted by an aggressive driver. While en route to an appointment I looked in my rearview mirror and noticed the driver behind me was just inches away from my bumper. This went on for several minutes and finally, I decided to pull over. Just as I pulled over the driver behind me pulled over and in a very intimidating way uttered some choice words at me that are not even worth repeating. Luckily, he did not stay at the scene long and eventually sped up and went on about his way.
Numerous news outlets throughout the country have covered the rise in aggressive driving incidents. The way these drivers behave is consistent throughout the country. They drive dangerously fast, fail to use turn signals, change lanes without warning, weave in and out of traffic, and have no regard for traffic laws or their fellow drivers. They terrorize other drivers, speed past you going nowhere fast on the highways and local streets meet you at the next traffic light. These drivers are dangerous to all of us that follow the traffic laws. These crimes can be just as deadly as violent crimes. They can result in law-abiding citizens becoming “collateral damage.” The question is: “what can be done to get these people to slow down”? Slowing down can save many lives. I am not sure what the answer is, but reckless driving is now a fundamental problem.
In Atlanta, the average speed limit on the highway is seventy miles per hour. I can say that this speed limit is not adhered to by most aggressive drivers. It is more like an eighty to ninety miles per hour and more range. Aggressive driving now occupies the same space as a violent crime as it is now a threat to life and safety.

Jay,
I would, first of all, thank you for taking to read our (VMG) articles. Letting it go is probably the right thing to do for now; however, I also think that parents should talk with young adults about the danger of reckless driving but talking will not stop most! Jay will you share our page with others on your social media platforms. Thanks, Cuzz!!!

With what has been happening, growing controls over our lives, and where it’s now, I told friends difficult times are ahead. What we’ve seen on television is disneyland to what’s coming if we continue to allow controls and watching over our lives. We are supposed to be responsible for our own lives, but we’re allowing others to decide. There will be more problems before getting better.
