We stand at a time in history when the ruler of an autocratic country is considering using nuclear weapons. Putin of Russia decided he wanted to be the ruler of Ukraine, a democratic country. This man is evil. He is now killing innocent men, women, and children. Civilians who were doing nothing wrong, merely living their lives in a free country were violently attacked. A country that has a Democratic Leader is under fire as we speak. How can anyone have the gall to go to someone else’s country and decide they want to be the ruler? The people of Ukraine vehemently expressed their disapproval of Putin ruling their country.

In the midst of terror being inflicted upon the people of Ukraine resulting from this man’s unmitigated gall, we have members of the Republican Party praising him. He is a man that kills innocent men, women, and children without provocation. Donald Trump said Putin is “smart.” Is it smart to kill and maim innocent people to satisfy your power-driven ego? This man is responsible for hundreds of thousands of people having to leave their way of life and become refugees. All of the noise coming from some of the members of the Republican Party needs to stop. Where are these people’s morals and values? It is not smart to kill and, maim people for the sake of sheer power. This is serious y’all. If Putin is allowed to get away with this who is to say that some other tinpot despot might want to control our country and attack us for no reason.

It is sickening to see a member of Congress from here in Georgia (Marjorie Taylor-Greene) attending a White Nationalist Conference and cuddling up to another attendee praising Putin. Get a grip! Putin’s lunacy is nothing to praise and cheer about. If he succeeds our lives will never be the same.
