Postal System

In years past the U.S. Postal System was a valued institution…. Employees with this agency enjoyed working for this

organization and we (citizens) knew our postal carriers plus their (Postal Workers) timing was spot on.

Things with the services of the postal system have changed in my opinion, and the decline in their service can and will affect us in a negative way.

The first thing that I noticed was the delay in service, home deliveries in my community were becoming later and later….. Sometimes home delivery was done past 8pm. For those of us that rely on receiving important communication through the mail or paying bills via mail, I find that there is risk involved.

Personally, I have paid bills using the mail service; like I always have done only to learn that the creditor never receive my payment, and there have been times when I didn’t get an invoice from a service provider. Both of these situations can and will affect your credit standings. Yes, we can now pay bills online; however, with some companies, you have to pay an additional fee, and there are those of us that are not comfortable paying online.

Due to the changes made by Post Master DeJoy, first-class letters are not a priority of the U.S. Postal System. To change this practice please write to your U.S. Representative and share your concerns about how the postal system is being run.
