Vote for Your Freedom
We’re just weeks away from the Mid Term Elections. As I sit and contemplate all
the freedoms that we here in America have I wonder what can be done to ensure
that we keep these freedoms. The news has a daily barrage of pundits speaking
pros and cons about the political situation here in this country. I don’t have to
listen to pundits to know that we are in trouble. There is alleged voter fraud with
no evidence, there are polling places being switched around and many are being
closed. If it’s hot and I need water while standing in line to vote if someone gives
me water, it’s a crime. Really. It’s standard for those in charge here in Georgia to
periodically purge the voter rolls. I feel like we all are in a time machine that’s
headed back to the ’50s and 60’s when people of color were beaten, spit on, and
hosed among other things for simply trying to exercise their rights. God help us
all. This situation is serious. The precise gerrymandering has made it very difficult
for citizens to choose their representation in Congress. Come early voting time
up until election day on November 8, 2022, we must vote, and encourage our family,
friends, and neighbors to vote as well. Many gave their lives for this right that is
incrementally being chipped away at. From this point on none of our rights under
the constitution can be taken for granted. We need to view the political situation
in this country with our eyes wide open. Now we can freely come and go as we
please. Don’t vote and see what happens. We will have those in control
politically telling us via draconian laws what we can and cannot do. We never
thought Roe would be taken away. Wake up and smell the coffee. It’s serious y’all
and we need to stop with the reality show mentality and do something to help
save us all-VOTE!!!
