Don’t judge the Book by its Cover

Inner Beauty is something that is not often talked about. Here in America, many are obsessed with beautiful people, celebrities, designer clothes, and fancy cars. All of these things give an illusion of success. We seem to think that beautiful people have a better life than normal, everyday people. I recently read an article regarding cheating that was quite interesting. The article mentioned a celebrity, Nia Long whose fiancée cheated on her. He is a head coach in the NBA. The article also made mention of alleged cheating by Jay Z and one of Halle Berry’s exes. The article went on to say that many felt it was really bad for men to cheat on these beautiful women. The article further stated that not only is it bad to cheat on beautiful women, but it’s not a good thing to cheat on any woman. This is a perfect segway for me to talk about inner beauty. It’s not so much what’s on the outside but what’s on the inside. It is a very good feeling to have a relationship with someone that is kind, compassionate, giving, and considerate. You want to be involved with someone you can laugh and have fun with while all the time enjoying their company as they enjoy your company. This applies to both males and females. A relationship filled with good, genuine reciprocal caring is a wonderful thing. Being with someone who has all of the aforementioned traits is the essence of inner beauty and if they just happen to be beautiful on the outside that is an added plus. But do remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Outside beauty without inner beauty is a nonstarter if one wants to live a life of peace, joy, and happiness.
