We the People
The Constitution of the United States in part reads as follows: We the people of the United
States in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility,
provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of
liberty to ourselves and our posterity do ordain and establish this Constitution of the United
States of America. Many of our federal elected officials don’t seem to be familiar with this
section of the Constitution. Prior to the midterm elections members of the GOP made it clear
that if they were to win, they would move to impeach members of the Biden Cabinet for no
reason other than pure, unadulterated revenge. Mind you, we the people elect politicians to
handle the people’s business. We want our elected officials to work on improving the quality of
our lives by addressing health care needs, a woman’s right to choose, jobs, living wage issues,
supply chain issues, inflation, voting rights, and a myriad of other matters pertinent to our well-
being. The GOP chooses revenge rather than working with other members of Congress to take
the necessary steps to get this country on the right track as we move past the residual effects of
the COVID pandemic. Rather than work with their fellow members of congress to hold the
former president accountable for the alleged corruption that transpired during his
administration they turn a blind eye to these infractions and continue to engage in obstructive
politics. It is incumbent on us to become involved and engaged in the election process and not
just be sideline observers. We must elect officials that care about the people and their needs,
not power and revenge. Thumbs up, like, and share.
