Mind Your Business

Life throws so many things at us, and our loved ones. It is the manner in which we handle
certain situations that usually determine the outcome. Many times, I get calls from family and
friends, sometimes to listen but sometimes for advice. I’m sure all of us have those friends or
relatives in particular that no matter what we tell them are going to do things their way-
which is usually the wrong way. Then there are times when we give out unsolicited advice. I
have found that even though your intentions might be good, and you might want to save your
friends and family from pain and heartache, sometimes you need to let them learn the lessons
on their own. I’ve found that many of us make impulsive decisions, sometimes involving
expensive items or costly business dealings. I usually do my research and look to see if what I
want can be obtained for less, I usually take time to think about the purchase, weigh the pros
and the cons and then make my decision. This seems like a logical way to handle costly
purchases. There have been several times when I’ve explained the aforementioned to people I
care about and they do just the opposite. I have concluded that certain people just don’t want
to hear what I have to say. So, guess what? I keep my mouth closed. I just listen and don’t
interject my thoughts or opinions because they really don’t want to hear what I have to say. If
you find yourself listening to loved ones that don’t listen even though you’ve advised them on
numerous occasions, mind your business. I’ve always been told that experience is the best
teacher. Your words of wisdom are falling on deaf ears. Allow your loved ones to learn from
their mistakes or they will continue to make the same mistakes over and over. Guess what? If
they choose to handle their affairs in a not-so-smart manner, there is nothing you can do. Mind
your business, not theirs. Thumbs up, like, and share.
