Reckless Disregard
For those of us that live in the Atlanta metro area, there have been a number of box stores ( Walmart, Target) that
suffered fire damage as reported on Saturday, January 28, 2023. It appears that these fires were purposely set by
two shoplifters. I personally can’t understand this type of behavior. Think about the damage to these, businesses,
the loss of jobs, the loss to the communities they serve, and the loss of revenue to suppliers of these businesses. My
daughter was just hired at one of these stores but because of the fire, the business decided not to reopen. Now her
job is no longer there.
Those that take to this kind of reckless disregard just to steal a few hundred dollars worth of merchandise should
be punished and held accountable to the businesses, the community as well as the people that are out of work.
Thieves, get a job!
We are all affected by these destructive acts. Therefore I suggest to all reading this narrative that if you’re out
shopping and witness this very serious behavior you immediately report it. Your quick thinking can save a
business, and jobs and provide a means for those in the community to continue to shop. Let’s all be a part of the
