The Power of a Positive Outlook

The Power of a Positive Outlook

As I travel through this journey called life, I have found that a positive outlook will get you through the worst of situations.  If you can believe it, your mind can achieve it.  It’s all about mind over matter.  The brain is one of the most powerful organs that we have but many of us fail to use it to its maximum capacity. Some of us are quick to look at the bad side of things. It happens almost instantaneously for those of us inclined to exercise negative learning thinking.  Just as quickly as those negative thoughts pop up in our minds, we can do the same with positive thoughts. It seems so simple, and it is.  Having a positive outlook just like most things has to be practiced to be perfected. You will be surprised at how easy it can be to look at the bright side of things.  One of my favorite scriptures is Romans 8:28, “all things happen for the good of those that love the Lord and are called according to his purpose”. It simply means in the worst of situations we can always find the good. If you lose a loved one, remember the good times you had with them.  If you have a bad breakup a better partner will come along. If your old car dies on you, God will provide you with a better one.  If a friend betrays you, the universe will place a better friend in your life. Sometimes we hold onto useless things and people that we need to get rid of.  We do this because we become comfortable with the status quo. Sometimes we have to take a leap of faith in our lives, in our minds, and in our hearts. Get rid of things and people that no longer shine a bright light on your life. A positive outlook can have a domino effect and cause many good things to happen in your life.  All you need to do is practice.  Don’t allow toxic things or people to get into your head.  The power is all yours.  Use it wisely!! Thumbs up, like, and share.
