Only in Darkness Can We See the Stars
Life is challenging in the time that we now live in. We see skyrocketing prices for rent, groceries, cars, insurance, furniture, some prescription drugs, and appliances just to name a few. In the midst of all of this salaries remain stagnant. What are we to do? First of all, if we are not doing it already, we must live within our means. Some say to live comfortably we must live below our means. Start making wise decisions about finances.
Sometimes it takes darkness for us to see the light. If you can’t afford a new car, get a well-cared-for used car. Learn to shop wisely for groceries and clothes. Go to YouTube to learn how to do some of those small fix-it jobs around your home. Now is the time for us to think a bit more creatively. Among families, there are often members that have many talents. If one family member is good at a particular skill and another one has a different skill swap the workout. Eat at home more. Many are self-proclaimed “foodies”. It’s not necessary or nutritious to eat out too regularly.
The powers that be are not doing much to make our lives better so we must do so for ourselves. When the few politicians try to do things to help us work on our behalf there are others that do everything, they can to blow the whole thing up. We must take control of our lives, our habits, and our spending to see a brighter day. As families let us start sharing what we have. Do so without being asked. Just because another family member is better off than you, it does not mean that the family member does not need help. They might have made better life decisions than you. Don’t be a hater when you see someone that is better off than you. Go to them to get advice as to how your life can be made better. You don’t know what sacrifices that person had to make to get to where they are. Because they are better off there may be much you can learn from that person.
Only by working together with other like-minded people can we see the stars in the darkness. No matter how rough things get there is always a way out. We just have to think, strategize and take action. Write your thoughts down. Once these thoughts are out of your head and on paper they will begin to materialize. Believe in yourself, be a positive thinker, and don’t let all the negative noise out in the world deter you. That is what the enemy wants. They want you to get all caught up in” dark” thought patterns to keep your mind off of what is really happening. When you begin to think and act differently and become more tactical about handling your business, I guarantee you things will improve for you. When we slow down, plan our course, and aim toward the greater good for ourselves and our community, we will see the stars in the darkness. You have the power to create your own happiness and success! Thumbs up, like, and share.
