Rainy Days

Rainy days are God’s way of saying “Be still”.  They are days to just slow down and reflect on life.  The overcast sky that usually comes with the rain further puts us in a reflective mood.  As a child when there was rain, thunder, and lightning my parents would make us just sit still and be quiet “while God was doing his work”.  What a powerful thought to just sit still, be quiet, and take in the beauty of the work that God does for us. Rain is growth, love, and renewal. Look at rainy days as a time to slow down, enjoy life, and just smell the pureness of fresh rain and how it cleanses bad things from the air. Though rainy days are sometimes cloudy just remember that every cloud has a silver lining.  Next time you’re in the midst of a cloudy, rainy day think of all the good things that the rain produces.
