What do You Choose It appears that America is at a crossroads. We are living in an environment where our choices in education, women’s health care, voting, and a myriad of other issues confront us daily. We barely survived an attack on our Capitol where the peaceful transfer of power was greatly compromised. The question is what do you choose? Do you want to live in a country where the leader ignores norms and laws, lets a pandemic linger and has many shady comrades that do his erratic bidding which is not good for the country. The age factor comes up when discussing the two probable candidates for president in 2024. Both are senior citizens. There is much to be said for age and wisdom. I’ll take age and wisdom any day of the week. Do not give me age and chaos. One candidate is associated with a coup. The other has decreased unemployment, brought the economy back from a pandemic, brought jobs back, is a true diplomat with our allies, and has decreased the cost of prescription drugs for seniors. Why are there questions about this man’s record of accomplishments? Take the blinders off y’all. We are bombarded with advertisements trying to convince us that this country is going down the drain. This is not true. Everywhere you look there is construction and building. It’s happening in blue states and red states. The truth is there for you to see if you want to see it. Communities of color are targeted and bombarded with negative, untruthful advertisements to make us feel that things are much worse than they are. There are many jobs out there. Most people, if they manage their funds well, will be able to maintain a decent standard of living. The cost of housing has increased but that is mainly because of greedy investors that target certain areas, buy up houses and then escalate housing costs. There are still programs out there that help with rent and mortgage assistance. It is not as dire as some would have us think. Don’t believe everything you read or hear. Be an independent thinker. Choose what is best for you and your family. Choose calm over chaos. Choose freedom as opposed to freedoms being taken away. Whatever you do make sure you vote. Exercise your democratic right that so many have fought and died for. Thumbs up, like and share. Marvin Dixon, Founder Vmgreview.com
