Burn Out

Burn Out

Many of us are experiencing burnout and don’t even know it. The body is not made to keep
going and going with no rest. We have many personal obligations and sometimes don’t take the
time to stop, take a break, and rejuvenate our minds and body. Everything is so fast-paced. We
are oftentimes just going through the motions because we are so accustomed to running on
overload. However, at some point, your body will let you know when enough is enough. Don’t
believe it. Just keep pushing and pushing with no rest or relaxation. Initially, the cues will be
subliminal and if you don’t take heed, they will become more overt. There is no way around it.
We must do better at taking care of ourselves. Some things can wait. We are living in a world
where there is much depression and frustration. Much of this can be minimized if we simply
take time to care for both our mental and physical health.
Take a walk in the park, go to a movie or concert, or just spend quiet time reading a book. Get a
massage, treat yourself to a manicure or a facial Men and women can pamper themselves.
Don’t allow negative thoughts or negative people to occupy a space in your mind. Try a bit of
aromatherapy while at home. Put some essential oils in your diffusers and let the scents take
you to a good place in your mind. Visit the gym and let the physical activity work to evaporate
all your worries and anxieties. Help others but do put yourself first. There is no way you can do
for others if you’re not well. Your world and your life will be what you make it. Burnout is real.
Take care of yourself for optimal health and a good quality of life. Thumbs up, like, and share.
