Success, Appreciation, and Realization
In the words of the Greek philosopher, Epicurus “do not spoil what you have by
desiring what you don’t have; remember that what you now have was once
among the things that you only hoped for”. We move through our lives acquiring
material things. We make informed, logical decisions and become more financially
stable. Over a period of time, there have been many acquisitions. You get to a place
where you can’t really decide what it is that you want for most assuredly you
have everything you need. You have to think hard about what it is that you want.
This is a perfect time to sit back, relax, and appreciate the fruits of your labor. You
can choose to be thankful for what you have, or you can continually strive to
acquire more and more material things. There are only so many cars that you can
drive, homes that you can live in, and clothes that you can wear. God said, “I will
supply all your needs”. When He has blessed you to have abundance in all things
appreciate what you have and bask in your accomplishments. What you now have
strong and what you once hoped for are realizations of your hard work. Take the
time to bless someone less fortunate as you move up the ladder of success and
watch the blessings flow. When you have enough recognize it and be thankful.
Don’t stop thriving. Do realize that material things do not bring happiness. True
happiness comes from within. Thumbs up, like, and share.
