Cell Phones

Cell Phone Distractions

In our previous article, we discussed ways to make our home safe, and today’s narrative will focus on a major distraction (Cell Phones)

Cell phones have their useful purpose; however, misusing a cell phone can have dire consequences! According to a study done by Virguez Law Group, using cell phones while driving is the leading cause of traffic accidents.

Data taken from the Georgia Department of Driver Services indicated that as of 2021 there were a total of 229, 415 traffic accidents caused by distracted drivers using cell phones.

Another reason cell phones can be dire is when you’re just sitting in your car talking on the phone or texting. There was an unfortunate incident a few years ago in midtown Atlanta, a young woman was out at night, she left a business and got into her car. Instead of just getting in her car and leaving, she decided to make a phone call. Because she was distracted, she was brutally attacked, and her car was taken by the perpetrator.

Cell phones have a useful existence in our daily lives, but they can also if used at the wrong time or place cause serious outcomes. Only use cell phones at the appropriate time and place…. stay safe. Please give us Thumbs-ups, likes, and shares.
