We Need Community Unity
As I sit here reminiscing my early years of life, the thing that stands out the most is the like of Unity that we have with our neighbors, children, organizations, and other entities that enhance the growth of our communities.
I would like to share a conversation I had with a 19-year-old young man from Peru. According to the very impressive and determined KID, he walked for about a year to gain entrance into this country. He’s currently living in a two-bedroom house with twenty-four other people. I suggested that he try and get his own place to live, and he said that he was happy where he was living. This young man stated that they all get along and that because of their work schedules, they use the house for sleeping and bathing.
This remarkable story brought about another story within this story ( Unity) I must admit that it would be very difficult to share such a small space with three people but 24 others! Their overall purpose is to support their communities back in their countries.
What this young man and those whom he shares living accommodations with are doing is a bit out of the ordinary it does show unity. People of color who were reared in this country need to understand and develop such unity. We would all become better people, and better communities that we ultimately can become. Please give us a Thumbs-Up, Like, and please share our platform with others.
