Live below Your Means
As I move around in this world I see many people driving nice cars, living in
fabulous homes, and having the appearance of being at the top of their
game. With some of these individuals if you begin to peel back the skin of
the onion you will see that they are struggling. Those nice cars require a
large car payment as does the nice homes. What kind of life do you want
to live? Do you want a big house and a big car and big bills? Or do you
want a modest car, a modest home, and modest bills? I choose the modest.
That way there is money left over to enjoy some of the special things in life
that bring joy. I like traveling, spending time with family and friends,
enjoying nature, and just living stress-free and debt-free. I do not have to
impress anyone by driving a particular car or living in a certain zip code. I
am secure within myself and know where true happiness comes from. It is
not from material things. Enjoy your life, do not be a slave to debt, live
below your means and you will always have a reserve for those
unexpected things that pop up. That way you minimize stress and all the
negatives that come with it. Be proactive in your planning and live the good
