Tolerance & Persistent
Oftentimes when you are trying to accomplish a mission or reach a goal, you have to be Tolerant & Persistent.
Les Brown, one of the greatest motivational speakers and a person that I listen to frequently, said in one of his lectures that at a very young age, he wanted to be a disc jockey. Mr. Brown says that he went to one station in Miami Fl. daily until he got the position that he was seeking (disc jockey)…….Tolerance & Persistent.
On February 15, 2023, I walked into the office of the Clayton County Transportation and Development Agency. This office (Transportation and Development) handles issues regarding road repairs, installing curbs, and much more. The curb that leads into our subdivision suffered damages caused by schools buses and large trucks entering our community.
This agency (Transportation and Development) promised to address our concerns. Three months passed with nothing being done to repair the damages, I started visiting the agency office once a month, and on March 20, 2024 during my monthly visit, I was advised that the project would be completed by the end of April of 2024.
On April 17, 2024, the curb replacement was completed. Being Tolerant & Persistent was in my opinion instrumental in resolving this problem with the curb in our community. Remember Tolerances and Persistence does help in achieving a goal or mission.
