Moral Turpitude
Our most recent former president is presently in court, on trial for an alleged hush money payment to a porn star during his last presidential bid. Moral turpitude is defined as a quality of dishonesty determined by a court to be present in the commission of a crime. The fact that a man with this type of baggage is a presidential candidate befuddles me. What has it come to in this country where there is no moral compass for an individual vying to be the leader of this great country? There is no other office in state or federal government that he can hold with this type of behavior in his background. The cancelled check is there, the statement from the “fixer,” his former lawyer is part of the evidence and the validation of his attorney’s statement by the porn star is part of the evidence as well. Those that have bought into the lies need to take their blinders off. The truth will set you free. Do not contribute to the demise of this country. Dishonesty is not a quality that should be overlooked. Integrity and honesty are qualities that upstanding people possess. We should want an upstanding and honest person to be at the helm of this nation. We deserve an honest, compassionate, intelligent leader. Our former president is none of these.
