“ The Efforts to Erase Black History
For generations there have been discussions by Conservative Republicans to erode the major contributions that people of color have made and continue to make in shaping this country.

Jabari Simama a former President: Chief of Staff: Vice President of Community Development and External Relations at Benedict College published and opinion on Governing.com platform on February 23, 2023 in which he (Mr. Simama) shared his views on CRT (Critical Race Theory).
According to Mr. Simama, public officials in 23 states have either specifically banned CRT or are in the process of doing so.The right wing conservative ,movement has two objectives given in Mr. Simama narrative presented on February 23, 2023. First (conservatives) use CRT as a method to fire-up their base among whites without having to talk about their true and dubious records and failures, such as their refusal to expand Medicaid in Florida and 10 other states.
Mr. Simama article also suggests that the other advantage of branding African American History as “Lacking in academic value, from the perspective of the right-wing conservatives, is that it could demoralize and marginalize Blacks and other minorities and demotivate them from voting. The right-wing use slogans such as Take back our Country and Make America Great Again.
Finally, I agree with Mr. Simama that people of color start demanding that companies that we (People of Color) support by purchasing their product stop doing business with states that have banned teaching Black History, People of Color stop visiting or spending money is states that support banning Black History, and that parents stop their kids that are athletes from attending colleges in states that a part this culture. Most college athletic programs will not produce the revenue that they amass without people of color. Black History is a vital part of this country being!
