The next four years will be interesting, to say the least. The key players in Washington seem to be attempting to rewrite the Constitution, particularly the 14th Amendment. However, the real political battle starts at the local and state levels.
We must all get involved in electing officials who will advocate for all citizens—not just the wealthy. If we fail to unify and take action, the America we know today will fade. What is happening now with the “yes people” in the federal government is a serious concern, and it’s up to us to ensure that democracy works for everyone.
I encourage each of you reading this to get involved with your local and state government. Vote, and encourage others to vote as well—it matters. We must also demand that our officials be accountable to the needs of the people.
