Sounding the Alarm
In a previous post, I discussed the reshaping of the federal government and its potential effects on those of us who are not wealthy. Based on my experience as a private investigator, I foresee a national increase in crime. While I do not condone illegal activity, the reality is that with proposed federal budget cuts, state and local officials will be forced to shoulder the burden of maintaining social programs that support underserved citizens.
These shortfalls will likely lead to a rise in crime, and we are already seeing early signs of this. With food prices soaring—eggs costing anywhere from $7 to $13 per dozen—many families simply cannot keep up with inflation. Just recently, news outlets reported a stolen truck containing thousands of dollars’ worth of eggs. Home burglaries, petty theft, car break-ins, and robberies are all likely to increase as people struggle to meet basic needs.
The purpose of this message is not to cause panic but to raise awareness. When people cannot eat, find employment, or provide for their families, desperation often leads them to take from others. Now more than ever, we must remain vigilant and informed.
