Why I Blog
I was inspired by powerful voices like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, Muhammad Ali, Les Brown, and later Dr. Boyce Watkins. Each of these individuals came from different walks of life, but they all shared a passion for uplifting the underserved—those living in poverty, those mistreated by the justice system, and those whose voices often go unheard.
Their words left a lasting impact on me. I understood, firsthand, the struggles they spoke about. That understanding led me to dedicate my life to helping others in the best way I could—by becoming a Private Investigator. Over the years, I saw how poverty and injustice disproportionately affect people of color, and I knew that simply doing my job wasn’t enough. I needed to speak up.
Like Les Brown, I had a desire to become a public speaker. I joined Toastmasters to develop my voice and began speaking to school-aged children about one of the most important lessons I’ve learned through my work—how to avoid negative encounters with law enforcement.
Then, after listening to Dr. Boyce Watkins’ podcast, I became inspired to spread awareness about the importance of saving and investing early. My topics grew from there—spanning crime, justice, finances, and self-improvement. Each post is written with the goal of offering something helpful: whether it’s information, encouragement, or simply a kind word.
