Postal Services needs major Changes!

The U.S. Postal Service is in desperate need of a major overhaul. What used to be a reliable and trusted service has become a source of stress and frustration for many Americans. Personally, I’ve always preferred paying my bills by mail rather than giving companies direct access to my bank account. But recent experiences have made that nearly impossible.

Two of my mortgage payments were never received by my mortgage company, despite being mailed on time. The same thing happened with my car payments. Eventually, I was forced to switch to online payments just to avoid late fees and credit damage.

Most recently, I received an unusually high power bill for May 2025. When I contacted the power company, I was told my April payment had never been made. I checked my records and confirmed I had written and mailed the check—complete with the date and check number. Again, it appears the payment was lost in the mail.

These kinds of issues aren’t just inconvenient—they can seriously harm people’s credit ratings, finances, and peace of mind. It’s unacceptable that in 2025, something as basic as delivering mail on time has become unreliable. People deserve better. It’s time for serious reform of the postal system to restore public trust and ensure that vital communications and payments aren’t falling through the cracks.
