Let’s Start Supporting Black-Owned Businesses

If we want stronger, better communities, we must start supporting our Black-owned businesses. For too long, many of us have heard or even repeated the claim that Black-owned businesses aren’t reliable, trustworthy, or professional. While it’s true that no business is perfect—regardless of who owns it—there are many Black entrepreneurs out here doing incredible work, and they deserve our support.

I’ve made it a personal mission to support Black-owned businesses that are providing quality products and services in their industries. One such business is AdrianFitMeals.com. This company specializes in preparing meals for people who are always on the go, and they also offer catering for special occasions like weddings, romantic dinners, and more.

Recently, I hired AdrianFitMeals to cater my wife’s birthday celebration—a party for twenty people. Adrian took the time to understand what we were looking for and suggested a menu that was absolutely perfect. It included a fresh salad, mashed potatoes, asparagus, and two delicious meat options: chicken and salmon. He came to our home and had everything beautifully set up and ready just in time for my wife’s return. The food was flavorful, the presentation was elegant, and the service was top-tier.

Businesses like Adrian’s deserve our recognition and our dollars. When we support them, we’re not just buying products or services—we’re investing in our communities. We’re helping close the wealth gap and creating opportunities that can lead to lasting change.

Let’s shift the narrative and start uplifting the businesses that uplift us. It’s time to be intentional about where we spend our money. Supporting Black-owned businesses is one of the many steps we can take to strengthen our communities and build a better future together.
