What Texas Should Teach Us

In previous posts, I spoke about depending on oneself. I talked about financial planning, having a backup plan, not just a Plan B, but a Plan C. This past week in Texas the unthinkable happened. Many people were subjected to bad decisions made by bad politicians primarily for monetary gains. Many died, many were subjected to a scarcity of food, no water, no power and to add insult to injury when the power did come back on the people were met with exorbitant power bills. All the while one of the main politicians there instead of trying to help the people got on a plane, sneaked off to Cancun, and when he got caught telling a series of lies.

Try your best to have a financial reserve that you can draw on. We talked about saving a dollar a day, even that adds up. Now people, listen closely. What this tells us that part of our Plan B and Plan C is electing empathetic, competent, and compassionate people to political office. After all, they are elected to serve the people first and foremost. Ted Cruz served the people of Texas a plate full of BS. Be informed, do your research, put politics before a party. We are all in this together. When some of us suffer, most of us suffer. Thank you for your support.

  1. Sadly, money appears to always be the basis of our woes when it comes to our basic necessities. Greed causes the powers that be to make selfish decisions causing the masses to suffer. Your plan is a step towards the right direction, being prepared is priceless. Thanks for your articles, they create awareness, discussion and a call to be proactive not reactive.

  2. I responded to your article. Another thing, please center your margins. Your left margin in not centered. I’ve it several times and decided to bring it up.

    Thanks. Denese L. Love
