Grown Fear in America

Growing Fear in America: Domestic Terrorism

December 7, 2022

As domestic terrorism groups in this country continue to grow, I find it quite interesting that
many of these groups claim to be religious organizations. The list of domestic terrorist acts is
many. The Sixteen Street Church bombing occurred on September 15, 1963, in Alabama, the
The Oklahoma City bombing occurred on April 19, 1995, the Centennial Park bombing in Atlanta
occurred on April 19, 1996, on June 17, 2015, there was the Charleston Church shooting, on
On June 12, 2016, there was the Orlando, Florida Nightclub shooting, and on August 3, 2019, the
horrific El Paso Walmart shooting happened. The aforementioned list is chilling. Most recently
Paul Pelosi, husband of House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi was brutally attacked in his home in
California. Luckily, he survived. Within the past week, two power stations in North Carolina
were targeted leaving thousands of people in the dark. Most importantly, let us not forget the
January 6, 2021, violent, vicious attack on the US Capitol.
We should all be aware and concerned about these attacks. Though these attacks happened
over a significant period of time they serve as warning signs. These growing domestic terrorist
acts are indicative of the dark, underbelly of those in this country that wish to take us
backward. When things change too rapidly it creates angst in those in this country filled with
ugly, racist, discriminatory inclinations. A lot is said about violence in America and usually, these
conversations center around street crimes. However, the aforementioned violent, terrorist
acts are not addressed as adamantly. Violent street crimes are significant. You then ask
yourself “what about domestic terrorism acts”? Be aware of what’s happening in your country and in doing so you can extrapolate
the real, true reason why domestic terrorism is on the rise. Thumbs up, like, and share.

  1. Way to bring it to the forefront Marvin. However, I really wish that our young black men would represent their culture better than what appears to be some disrespectful outrage being carried out against their own people. Let fix these problems first and foremost 🙏.

    1. I totally agree, I spoke with a pastor yesterday (12/11/22) and asked him what can we )men) do to address these concerns? he suggested starting basketball camp. I think these young people;e need to be taught business ownership skills
