Be Careful

Be Careful

We are now in the holiday season, which is a time of joyfulness, giving, and celebrating the spirit
of Christmas. Though it is a time of joy there are some people that do not feel that way. They
look at this season as a time to prey upon the unsuspecting. The rush, rush, and busyness of
the holiday season can be very distracting. However, this is a time when we all should be
aware of our surroundings and not be caught off guard. Remember to keep all doors locked and
windows closed when you are in or out of your car. Do not leave holiday packages in visible
areas when shopping. Avoid going shopping alone at night and always park in well-lit areas.
Have your keys in hand before you reach your vehicle. Do not wear expensive jewelry. Avoid
carrying too many packages so as not to obstruct visibility. Be leery of strangers approaching
you as this is the season when con artists are out in force. Dress comfortably. If you see
suspicious-looking people in the area do not approach your car alone. Ask Mall Security to
escort you to your car if you do not feel safe. Follow your instincts. If something doesn’t feel
right acknowledge the feeling and take heed to what your inner voice is telling you. These are
just a few tips to get you thinking and on the right track to having a safe and happy holiday
season. Thumbs up, like, and share.
