Friends and Friendship

**The following poem is dedicated to all the true friends out there**

Friends, everyone has them that we know

There are true friends and sometimes friends for show

True friends accept you for who you are

They support you and are your guiding star

Some are real and some are fake

Some will give and some will take

Some will be around for many years

You trust that their friendship is real

Then something happens that have you asking why

You see the friendship is fake and you say goodbye

 Then there are friends you don’t know for very long

They fit right in, and the friendship is strong

Treasure your true friends over the years

They will be there to ease your fears

The good and the bad of you they understand

As a true friend, they never make demands

You can laugh, talk and cry whenever you need

If they can help, they come with the quickness of speed

Embrace your friends, both old and new

The ones you keep close will be few

A life full of friends is rich indeed

Thank God for true friends that’s what we all need
