A Trifecta of Love

As we make our way through this journey called life, we learn many things about life and living.  Through it all we realize that the most important thing is love.  Love for self, love for family and love for community all of which comprise a perfect trifecta.  First and foremost is self-love for if you don’t love yourself, you cannot love another. Sometimes we get so caught up in the complexities of life that we neglect self-care.  It is vital to always be entuned to your needs, that way distractions will not cause you to put your needs aside.  Once your practice of self-love is perfected you can aptly take care of your family. Do realize when dealing with family that there is a thin line between help, love and enabling.

Though it is said that love conquers all, do not let love lead you to be an enabler. There will be times when family members need “tough love” in order to learn the lesson.  They might need to take the fall without a cushion and hit the concrete. These occurrences can be eye opening, learning experiences if we simply stand back and allow our loved ones to experience hurt and discomfort.

Next there is community. We all have the desire to have a safe, beautiful home in a well-kept neighborhood where community pride abounds.  No matter where you live a house can be a home if you make it so.  Communicate with, help and look out for your neighbors to ensure a safe environment that exemplifies the spirit of community. When you merge love for self, family and community together what you get is a winning combination, a life worth living, and “the perfect trifecta”. Thumbs up, like and share.
