The House Next Door

The House Next Door

The house next door was occupied by people that were lost.  They had no respect for others in the neighborhood.  They disturbed the peace, argued, played their music loud, failed to communicate with neighbors in a positive way, and often spewed profanities when called on their bad behavior.  I do not know where they grew up or how.  The manner in which they were raised was apparently not very good.  People that grow up in happy, nurturing environments usually reflect their upbringing in their manner of being. “The house next door” can actually serve as a metaphor for all the bad behavior we see and experience during this time.  Your house next door might be a disgruntled family member that is always mad for no reason, it may be someone that you have a social connection with that does not like you and has no reason.  It might be a church member that smiles in your face and stabs you in the back.  It might be a co-worker who is envious as they are continuously blinded by your light that shines so magnificently. No matter who it is or what circumstance you or they are in rest assured that “what goes around comes around.”  This is why your focus should be to only put good out in the world.  What you put out there comes back, sometimes two and threefold. Do not end up like the people next door who had to move in a hurry, in the dark of night, with no designated place to go.  If you are “the house next door “occupant end the negativity and shine a light out in the world, cease to walk in the darkness. You cannot imagine how much better you will feel when you become a giver, not a receiver, considerate, not inconsiderate, happy, not sad, thoughtful, not thoughtless.  Your life will be transformed and so will those around you.  You will begin to draw people into your life that will enhance it and you.
